Grain Free Bagels

Makes 6 bagels


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (95 g) almond flour

  • 3 tbsp (21 g) coconut flour

  • 3 tbsp (21 g) ground flaxseed

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp sea salt

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbsp water

  • 5 egg whites

  • 1 whole egg

  • 2 tbsp (24 g) everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease six donut molds with cooking spray.

  • In a mixing bow, add the almond flour, coconut flour, ground flaxseed, baking soda and sea salt. Mix well with a fork. Add the apple cider vinegar, water, egg whites and one whole egg. Whisk with a fork until well combined.

  • Spread the batter among the six donut molds. Sprinkle the bagels with the everything bagel seasoning and bake for 20 minutes, until golden. The bagels can be served right away while still warm and fresh, or allowed to cool.

  • Serve with avocado, cream cheese, butter or eggs.

  • You can refrigerate the bagels for 5 days or store in the freezer for 3 to 4 months and reheat in a toaster or oven.
